The multi-tone siren is used primarily for smaller maintenance sites with just one signaller, and where loud machinery is not deployed. The signaller must always have a multi-tone siren at hand, even if Tyfon or electrical warning mechanisms provide the primary warning function. In this way, the signaller can still warn workers, even if these warning mechanisms fail. |
